3 Reasons YOU Want to Build Muscle

Whether you’re a 22 year old guy trying to get buff or a 63 year old woman looking to get your old body back, you WANT to build muscle.

Here’s three reasons why:

1. Building Muscle means FASTER FAT LOSS

You see, strength training not only helps you build muscle but also results in an elevation in you metabolism for many hours after the workout, so you burn more calories all day long whether you’re working out or not.

*So you get to eat the same amount and lose fat faster OR
*You get to eat more and lose fat just as quickly

Either way you look at it, it’s a pretty good scenario and an excellent reason to add muscle.

2. Building Muscle means Getting off the Diet Roller Coaster

When you go on a diet, and lose weight but fail to build muscle your metabolism is actually slower… NOT what you want if your goal is to keep the weight off for good.

If you want to get off the diet roller coaster once and for all, controlling your diet is only part of the picture. You need a plan to boost your metabolism. Building muscle does that, not dieting.

3. Building Muscle means a Hotter Body

When you go on a diet, without actually building muscle you will end up being smaller version of your current self and still have no muscle tone. Some call this skinny fat.

Being thin is one thing, but being hot is another. And while being thin may be better than being fat, what you most likely want your body to look like goes far beyond simply being skinny.

To be hot, you need muscle tone. Muscle tone comes from not only losing fat, but also building muscle.

So if you just lose fat your arms and legs and stomach will still be jiggly not tight and toned. However, if you build muscle, your metabolism will be fast and your arms, legs and stomach will look good and maintenance will be easier with your new faster metabolism.
